Why quality management cannot live in a spreadsheet

A spreadsheet almost always starts as a good idea. The problem appears when it becomes the only place where the quality of an entire operation is managed.
The limit is not technical; it is procedural
A spreadsheet does not warn before a deadline expires, distinguish who should see a record or clearly preserve who changed what and why. Each gap seems small until the operation grows.
What changes when the process has an owner
Working quality management does not depend on a spreadsheet or a system alone. It depends on clear ownership at every stage: who records, analyzes, corrects and closes the loop. The right tool makes that process visible and traceable.
From spreadsheet to process
The transition can start with the stage that relies most on memory today, usually deadline tracking or root cause analysis. Structure that stage first and let the rest follow.
